ship Solway,
337 tons, Captain R. Pearson, from Hamburg
9th June 1837, arrived at Port Adelaide (via Kangaroo Island), South Australia
note.— There are very
few surviving original lists of German passengers, so
the data below has been compiled from a variety of sources,
such as contemporary newspaper(s), internet sources,
input from descendants and the South Australian Heraldry
Genealogy society, (SAGHS).
I know the list is incomplete and may contain errors, so any feedback with

additional information: The Solway was
a wooden ship built at Monkswearmouthshore, Sunderland in
1829. On the 21st of December 1837, she broke moorings and
was wrecked during a storm in Rosetta Harbour,
Encounter
Bay.
